MOTION: Councillor G. O'Connell

"That the whole issue of traffic on Kennelsfort Road be examined including the operation of the HGV restriction, noise pollution, safety for cyclists and pedestrians and congestion and that a comprehensive report be brought to the September meeting of this Committee with recommendations."

REPORT:

It has been decided to modify the extent of the existing weight restriction on Kennelsfort Road and members of the committee have been informed of same. The consent of the Garda Commissioner has been sought and it is intended to review its operation in the Autumn. The other matters raised can be considered as part of this review.
