MOTION: Councillor D. Looney

That this Committee calls for an increase in the frequency of Council maintenance of Keadeen Walkway in Greenpark to every 2 months, at least, given the significant use of this walkway and the requirement for cleansing and other maintenance.

REPORT:

The walkway at Keadeen Avenue, Greenpark was recently inspected by the Public Realm section and was found to be in a reasonably clean and tidy condition. Some weed control and spraying is needed along the base of the walls together with the sweeping of leaves, scuffling etc. and this will be done within the next 2/3 weeks. The frequency of maintenance of this laneway will be increased to a monthly visit, to take into account the amount of  of pedestrian traffic using the lane on an ongoing basis.
