Parking difficulties in Adamstown at school times.
On the 11th of March the Council wrote to Castlethorn requesting details of proposals for addressing unauthorised parking issues along residential and other streets adjoining the Community School at Adamstown. In that correspondence the Council indicated that any proposals must be agreed with the school. Since that correspondence, Castlethorn have advised us that a traffic survey has been carried out in Adamstown and that discussions are currently ongoing with the School in order to determine the most appropriate measures to ensure unauthorised parking issues are adequately addressed. A formal submission addressing the issues will be lodged once agreement has been reached. Castlethorn have indicated that it is likely that the submission will take the form of a School Travel Plan which will be agreed between the developer, school, parents and residents.
