Cathaoirleach's Business:

This Committee supports the idea of the building of a playspace at Harelawn estate in Clondalkin and requests that Harelawn be added to the list for the provision of such play spaces.

REPORT:

The Five Year Play Space Programme does not include provision for a  play space in the Harelawn area.  However, there are a number of open space areas within Harelawn that could be suitable locations for such a project.  It may, for example, be possible to include a play space as part of the proposed new North Clondalkin Library that is proposed to be located in Harelawn and such a proposal will be examined.  Nevertheless, the agreed list for the Clondalkin Electoral Area programme will have to be first subject to public consultation before a location in Harelawn can be considered.
