QUESTION NO. 1
QUESTION: Councillor T. Gilligan
To ask the Manager to explain why the bollards at Camac River 'board walk' Orchard Road have not been removed and when will they be removed?
REPLY:
There have been a number of minor accidents on the boardwalk in recent months. Although the material used in the boardwalk is certified as non-slip, the boards themselves are affected by sap from the adjoining trees and have proved slippy as a result. A detailed study of the boardwalk has identified an insert product which will render the boards non-slippy. Tenders have been received for the work which will be carried out in the coming weeks, and bollards can then be safely removed.
