COMHAIRLE CONTAE ÁTHA CLIATH THEAS
SOUTH DUBLIN COUNTY COUNCIL
MEETING OF CLONDALKIN AREA COMMITTEE

QUESTION NO. 7
QUESTION: Councillor E. Ó Broin
To ask the Manager to provide a report on the County Manager's initiative on improving the gateways into South Dublin including the Clondalkin entry via the Red Cow roundabout.
REPLY:
The approach to Clondalkin from the Red Cow Roundabout M50 / N7 interchange involves roads / lands that are not under the immediate control of the Council. The matter will be referred to the NRA /M50 Concessions via the designated contact points in South Dublin County Council for attention and response. In relation to areas which are under the Council's control, improvement works to the roundabout on Monastery Road, outside the Shalimar Apartments, were carried out in 2013 by Public Realm staff. These works involved upgrading and landscaping the roundabout.
