MOTION: Councillor W. Lavelle

That this Council calls for the reconvening of the Forum on a Directly-Elected Mayor; or establishment of similar body or process, to allow for a further consideration of proposals, including those contained in the Forum's section 59(1) report, with a view to making detailed recommendation on possible reforms and/or devolution of functions to Dublin local authorities, in particular in the area of transport, sustainable planning and economic development, within the framework of Dublin's existing local government model.

If the motion is passed a letter will be written to the Minister seeking a reconvening of the Forum on a Directly-Elected Mayor as outlined in the motion
