QUESTION: Councillor D. Looney
To ask the Manager to commit to a limited programme of planting of appropriate street tree species, in areas where there is support from residents and in which there is a dearth of trees, and to make a statement on the matter?
REPLY:
The emphasis of the 2014 Arboricultural Programme will be on tree maintenance. A limited tree planting programme is also planned for 2014 at selected locations across the county. Tree planting proposals have been included included in the 2014 Arboricultural Programmes presented to the Area Committees.
Planting will be carried out in the following locations:
