MOTION: Councillor W. Lavelle

"That this Area Committee request the Manager to present a detailed report, for discussion, on the terms of reference and parameters of the Newcastle Road study component of the Lucan Movement Framework?"

REPORT:

The elements of the Lucan Access Study relating to the Newcastle road area include such matters as

Assessment of traffic movements along Newcastle Road with particular emphasis on the roundabout at Supervalue and the N4 access

Initial assessment of existing movements along Newcastle Road, including a blue tooth survey to establish origin and destination of traffic and a survey of the operation of the roundabout junction at Supervalue.

It should be noted that the full parameters of the study are not yet finalised and must be agreed with the NTA in advance of proceeding to the next stage. This proposed study is discussed in broader terms under Motion 22 of this meeting
