HEADED ITEM NO. 17
BOUNDARY TREATMENT ON LANDS SOUTH OF THE PADDOCKS & DODSBORO ROAD/TANDY'S LANE
The boundary treatment issue was raised with Grant Thornton at the last Adamstown Interface meeting on the 28th of February. A letter outlining the Council's concerns issued on the 11th of March. The correspondence highlighted that it is an objective of South Dublin County Council to foster and facilitate a positive relationship between developers and residents of Adamstown and adjoining existing communities and that we would like to see the issue resolved to the mutual benefit and agreement of landowners/receivers and the adjoining community. It was highlighted also that specific areas of concern related safety and visual impact. In an initial response received by the Adamstown Project Team on 19th March Grant Thornton stated as follows 'We note your concerns in relation to the boundary fence between the Paddocks and Tandy's Lane in Adamstown. The Receiver takes his responsibilities for the health and safety and upkeep of the former Maplewood Development lands extremely seriously. A full time project manager is engaged to assess and address any issues as they emerge' The correspondence further states that the project manager has been requested to investigate and a further update will be provided at that time. The Adamstown Project Team will continue to liaise with Grant Thornton and revert to this Committee when a full reply is received.
