MOTION NO. 13
MOTION: Councillor E. Ó Broin
That this Committee agrees that the Manager brings a report to the meeting outlining the schedule of work over the coming 12 months on the entrance and car park at the Clondalkin leisure centre including the following works; cleaning the recycling facility; upgrading the lighting; resurfacing the car park; pruning and improving the trees & shrubs; improving the visual impact of the entrance; and any other matters that have been brought to the Council's attention following the negative commentary of this location from the National Tidy Towns report in 2013. The committee also agrees that the manager will provide monthly updates on this work in the form of a regular headed item at the area committee.
REPORT:
The following Table provides details of work undertaken and proposed at the Nangor Road Car Park at Clondalkin Park since the matter was reported on at the Clondalkin ACM in December 2013.

The extensive range of work proposed will be carried out over the course of 2014. As a significant amount of work involves the input from third parties it would be preferable to present a further report in May, subject to the members approval, to allow sufficient time to progress the various items.
