QUESTION: Councillor W. Lavelle

"To ask the Manager for a further detailed update on the efforts to secure reinstatement of the grassed verge at the entrance to Ballydowd Grove?"

REPLY:

Following an examination of all the documentation by the Law Agent a letter was issued outlining the Council's position and requesting that the area in question be returned to its original condition. Subsequent to this a second solicitors letter was received requesting copies of documentation held by the Council supporting our claim that the area is a public area and was taken in charge. The Law Agent is now considering this request and he plans to review the case to date and decide on the next course of action within the next week.
