Pre-Part 8 Consultation - Proposed conversion of Bay No.7 to specially adapted housing at Cherryfield Residential Caravan Park, Firhouse Road
The purpose of this report is to notify the elected members of the council's intention to enter into public consultation under Part 8 of the Local Government (Planning and Development) Regulations 2001 – 2012 for the construction of a two-story dwelling at Cherryfield Residential Caravan Park, Firhouse Road, Dublin 16.
An application has been made to the Council by Michael & Anne McDonagh, Bay 7 Cherryfield Residential Caravan Park, Firhouse Road, Dublin 16 for the conversion of the exiting bay and day-house to a two-story, 4 bedroom house. The application was made on medical grounds to provide a safe, comfortable and appropriate accommodation for their daughter, Ann. The application was examined by the Council's Medical Officer and granted priority.
The Council's Traveller Accommodation Unit and the Architectural Services Department have met with the McDonaghs and agreed on the proposed house lay-out. It is proposed to advertise the proposed development shortly and commence public consultation under Part 8 of the Local Government (Planning and Development) Regulations 2001 – 2012.
Funding for this project will be sought from the Department of the Environment, Community and Local Government.
