MOTION NO. 3
MOTION: Councillor C. King
"That the Manager investigate the feasibility and the need for CCTV in the grounds of St Dominic's Response project as dumping and some anti-social behavior is occurring in its vicinity".
REPORT:
REPLY:
The matter of dumping at this location will be investigated in conjunction with the Council's Environmental Services Department. However under terms for a lease of the property issued to the St. Dominic's Community Response Project some years ago, the responsibility for maintenance of the common area surrounding the building lies with the parties who occupy same i.e the Response Project and St. Mary's Boxing Club who are accommodated in an adjoining building. Both parties are in occupation for several years but have yet to formalise agreements with the Council. The matter will be pursued with both parties in consultation with the Council's Community Department with a view to regularising the position in relation to these lands.
