QUESTION: Councillor T. Delaney

To ask the Manager that the goalposts on the GAA pitches in Corkagh Park near the Community Centre are painted as they are in very poor condition (note this was agreed to be carried out at the April 2012 LAC)?

REPLY:

The goalposts will be painted using the most appropriate method to undertake the task.  The options available are to paint them in situ or remove and paint at ground level.  Both  options require the use of mechanical aids which can only be brought on site when ground conditions are suitable.  The works will therefore be scheduled as soon as ground conditions improve.
