MOTION: Councillor C. King

"That this Committee calls on the Manager to arrange for signing and lining of parking spots including disabled in the grounds of St Dominic's Response Project and to investigate what safety signage and lining can be delivered at the entrance/exit to the project in the interest of pedestrian safety of those accessing the adjoining shopping centre".

REPORT:

This is a local centre car park with over 60 parking spaces. The number of disabled spaces will be checked to ensure that it complies with current requirements and will be adjusted as needed. The existing lining will be referred to Road Maintenance for assessment. Safety and access arrangements within the area in charge of the Council are considered adequate. St Dominics is not in the charge of the Council however we will work with the project team to improve safety as appropriate.
