MOTION: Councillor T. Delaney

That the Manager gives an update of the current status of the old CB Packaging Site and commits to enforce the relevant parties to clean up both this site and the ESB sub-station on the Ninth Lock Road as per ongoing items and correspondence

REPORT:

The former CB Packaging site has the benefit of Final Grant of Planning Permission which issued on the 26th August 20l3 in respect of retail/commercial development.  The Council's Planning & Economic Development Department has confirmed a Commencement Notice, notifying a commencement date of 28th February 20l4, was received by that Department on the l7th February 20l4.

The Council's Inspector for the purposes of the Derelict Sites Act l990 has found the ESB sub-station site at the Old Nangor Road to be non-derelict.
