MOTION NO. 13
MOTION: Councillor E. Ó Broin
This committee agrees to replace the bollards that have been damaged or removed at the cul-de-sac adjacent to (*Address supplied)and to replace them with bollards that are more difficult to vandalise.
REPORT:
There are a total of 60 wooden bollards located adjacent to the open space at Neilstown Park. They were provided to keep unauthorised vehicles off the open space. They have proved to be effective in doing so but as a result have become a target for vandalism. Currently there are 6 spaces where bollards are missing. It is proposed to install new wooden bollards in these gaps. Wooden bollards are considered to provide a suitable and cost effective method to control unauthorised access to the open space at this location.
