Litter on Ballyboden Rd & Ballyroan Lodge to Hillside Pk

The area in the vicinty of Ballyboden Road, Ballyroan Lodge and Hillside Park was examined. There are litter bins at the bus stops along Ballyboden Road, each within walking distance. The open space at Ballyroan Lodge will be scheduled for a clean as litter has got embedded in the undergrowth. In addition the Council was in touch with local schools in the vicinity to remind  pupils of the need to dispose of litter in a proper manner. This area will be monitored closely by the Council's public realm staff to ensure that the area is maintained to a good standard. The Council will also liaise with the Rathfarnham Tidy Towns to encourage local participation and ownership of public realm standards in their area e.g. litter reduction and control.
