QUESTION NO. 2
QUESTION: Councillor M. Devine
To ask the Manager to provide a completion date for removal of stumps from trees taken down?
REPLY:
The Environment Department Work Programme is currently focused on tree pruning work across the County and this is expected to continue to the end of February. As far as it is possible tree stumps are being removed directly after the tree has been felled. Where it does not prove possible to remove stumps with the tree felling process these will be removed as soon as possible thereafter.
The Programme envisages tree pruning and removal works to be completed by the end of February with any outstanding stump removals completed by the end of April.
