QUESTION NO. 3
QUESTION: Councillor E. Ó Broin
To ask the Manager for an update on the mapping of potential housing infill sites in North Clondalkin as per the discussion following Motion no 25 at the December Clondalkin Area Committee?
REPLY:
Since the December 2013 meeting the Housing and Architectural Services Departments have been working closely together to examine the potential of general locations (countywide) as identified by Councillors from the respective electoral areas at various meetings and in various items of correspondence.
It is anticipated that maps of the areas identified by Councillors will be circulated shortly asking that the specific area which they consider suitable for development be identified.
Following from this exercise these sites must be scoped to ensure that the sites are viable. Feasibility of the sites will depend on site services, conditions and constraints.
Similarly we are establishing details of the Council's landbank for other plots which may be deemed suitable to facilitate potential future building programmes, following from which a similar exercise to the above will be required.
