MOTION NO. 3

MOTION: Councillor A.M. Dermody

"That the Manager inspect and report back to the next Traffic Management Meeting whether or not there ought to be a stop sign and double yellow lines at the junction of Fonthill Park within the estate and again where Fonthill meets the main Willbrook Road."

REPORT:

A yield sign can be provided as the residential road joins a major road. Parking is not permitted within 5m of a road junction and as such it is not normal practice to install double yellow lines at such locations. On-road parking within Fonthill Park is consistent with the roads function as a residential road therefore general use of double yellow lines is not recommended.
