COMHAIRLE CONTAE ÁTHA CLIATH THEAS
SOUTH DUBLIN COUNTY COUNCIL
MEETING OF RATHFARNHAM AREA COMMITTEE
Tuesday, January 14, 2014
QUESTION NO. 10
MOTION: Councillor A.M. Dermody
"To ask the Manager what progress has been made towards resolving the ponding issue in Dodder Valley Park (behind Kilvere), the raising of the paths was identified as a solution and these works were to be included in the works programme. To date there was been no change with the issue becoming worse due to recent heavy rain falls?"
REPORT:
The improvement of the footpaths in the Dodder Valley to the rear of Kilvere Estate has been included as a priority in the 2014 Public Realm Improvement works programme for the area. The area has recently been inspected and the drainage of the footpaths is poor at a number of locations and it is proposed to commence the necessary upgrade works within the next 2/3 weeks.
