MOTION NO. 2
MOTION: Councillor J. Lahart
"That the Manager investigate the southern one-way entrance to Rathfarnham Village is regularly being contravened by traffic particularly in the early morning - what measure can be put in place to address this."
REPORT:
No-Entry signs (new version) are in place at the south end of Main Street Rathfarnham. Enforcement of signs are a matter for An Garda Síochána who will be advised of this issue. The signs are arranged normally i.e. a sign mounted on a pole at each side of the 'exit' point from Main Street at its junction with Old Butterfield Avenue and Wolf Tone Terrace. Additional controls are not recommended as they can also restrict correct access to the village. Lower supplementary signs are not recommended in an area with pedestrian traffic.
