Some of these buildings have been there for some time without a written licence or lease agreement. While this has not presented any problem up until now, it is best practice to have written agreements in place and it is also desirable to have such agreements in place to ensure that no organisation will miss out on funding for which they may otherwise be eligible. The Council's Community Team have been in touch with all the organisations concerned to explain the reasons and to allay any fears the various organisations may have had. Considerable progress has been made to complete these agreements and they should all be signed and sealed within the next short while.
