MOTION NO. 2

MOTION: Councillor E. Ó Broin

That this Committee agrees that the Council should plant shrubs opposite Nos 15 and 16 Castlegrange Lawns at the fence separating Castlegrange from St Cuthberts Road; the shrubs should continue the existing line of shrubs at Castlegrange Lawns to the very end of the Councils land. 

REPORT:

There is a beech hedge planted on the boundary of the open space opposite 1 to 14 Castlegrange Lawns.  The status of the land ownership opposite houses 15 & 16 is unclear and any proposal to continue the beech hedge at this point is subject to the ownership issue being clarified.  This matter is currently being examined and decision regarding continuing the beech hedge will be made following enquiries.
