MOTION NO.7

MOTION: Councillor M. Devine

"That this Council provides an  audit of planning permission granted for Apartment development within the Tallaght area ( yet  to be developed) and consider,  where appropriate, to reverse this and insist on the building of family homes."

REPORT:

With respect to the motion, it is not open to the Local Authority to rescind or reverse a permission once granted, it is a matter for the developer to decide if a particular permission is to be enacted.  Regarding dwelling type there is a need for a mix taking account of different housing needs and site location. This planning Authority continues to take account of these issues in considering the sustainable development of the County.
