MOTION NO.7

MOTION: Councillor D. Looney

That this Committee receives a report on the ongoing Arboricultural Programme with regard to these eight locations (details provided).

REPORT:

Item 1  -   *details supplied* The tree in question requires pruning, however it is not on the tree pruning programme for 2013. It will be included for pruning on the draft 2014 Tree Programme.

Item 2  -  1*details supplied*  The open space trees at this location require pruning however they are not on the tree programme for 2013.  This location will be included in the draft tree programme for 2014.

Item 3  -  *details supplied*.  The tree at this location requires removal and is growing into overhead ESB cables.  This tree will be listed for removal as part of the draft 2014 Tree Programme.

Item 4  -  *details supplied* The two open space trees at this location require pruning however they are not included in the tree pruning programme for 2013.  The location will be added to the draft tree programme for 2014.

Item 5  -  *details supplied*  The diseased tree at this location requires removal however it is not on the tree programme for the current year.  It will included in the draft tree programme for 2014.

Item 6  -  Laneway to rear of *details supplied*.  The tree at this lcocation requires pruning however it is not on the tree pruning programme for the current year.  This tree will be listed for inclusion in the draft tree programme for 2014.

Item 7  -  Laneway to rear of *details supplied*.  The trees which are overhanging the laneway in question are located on private property.  The property owner will be contacted and asked to cut the tree back as required.

Item 8  -  *details supplied*  The tree in question is inlcuded on the tree pruning programme for the current year.  A public realm maintenance crew are working in the area at the present time and will be daling with the tree in question in due course.
