MOTION NO.5

MOTION: Councillor D. Looney

That this Committee calls for the proposed playground for Beechfield Park to be given priority in the Council's Playground Programme for 2014 given the urgent need for such a facility in the Cherryfield and broader Walkinstown area.

REPORT:

The proposed new five year play space programme will be presented in detail by the County Manager to the Elected Members shortly.  It will contain a list of sites where it is intended to commence construction in 2014.  Consideration has already been given to the provision of a play space in Beechfield Park as part of this programme.
