"That the Manager give a report to this Committee on measures that can be put in place to slow residential traffic speed at Prospect Drive up to Prospect View to include. • Go slow road markings on the road surface. • A temporary placement of the mobile traffic digital speed unit."

REPORT:

Prospect Drive slopes downhill and curves to the left at a green area.  Forward visibility is good.  Slow markings can be provided.

A speed indication sign is normally used on roads with a speed limit of 60 km/h and above.  The concerns of inappropriate speed in this estate will be brought to the attention of the local Gardai.

Consideration can be given to the provision of traffic calming ramps in this estate should funding become available in the budget for 2014.
