"I raised the need for a proper set of footsteps and railing from Woodview Cottages to Dodder Valley Road some time ago and all we got was a smattering of tarmac - can this be revisited please in the interest of pedestrian safety - particularly local senior residents."

REPORT:

The provision of a set of steps, ramp and railings to provide safe pedestrian access from Woodview Cottages to the Dodder Valley Road in Rathfarnham will be considered in the context of the 2014 public realm Improvement Works Programme for the area. Prior to any construction works on site, the precise details of the proposed  access  improvement works will be discussed and agreed with the Roads Department and the Rathfarnham Tidy Towns Committee.
