MOTION NO. 10
MOTION: Councillor A.M. Dermody
"That the Manager report back following inspection on the condition of the roads and paths in Fonthill Abbey and as such confirm that the necessary repair work will be included in the paths upgrade programme for the area. There is a sizeable pothole and broken road surfaces close to the entrance and in along on the left hand side. Broken kerbs need repairing and there is a marked drop in path surfaces which in turn is a tripping hazard. Please also provide a timeframe for the completion of such works."
REPORT:
An inspection of the area has been carried out by Roads staff. A number of trees in the estate have caused damage to footpaths. Road staff will liaise with the Public Realm section in relation to the removal of the trees. When the trees are removed, repairs will be carried out to the paths and kerbs. Repairs will also be scheduled for the concrete road slab near the entrance to the estate. The works will be scheduled for early 2014.
