QUESTION NO. 7
QUESTION: Councillor A.M. Dermody
"To ask the Manager what progress has been made since this matter was last brought to the Manager's attention. You might recall that it has been reported over the course of the last year or more the flooding of the footpath along Marian Road near the park wall. During episodes of heavy rain pedestrians are forced off the path to avoid the flooding. Please can you inspect and report back as to the cause of the flooding, a likely solution and confirmation as to when the work will be done."
REPLY:
An inspection of the area did not reveal any obvious causes of flooding on the footpath. An adjacent road drainage gully was observed to be full of fallen leaves. Arrangements will be made to have this cleaned as soon as possible. The location will be monitored, particularly during periods of rainfall.
