MOTION NO. 12

MOTION: Councillor E. Tuffy

"That this Committee, noting the Reply to Question No.12 at the November Council meeting (re: The Mobility and Management of Heavy Goods Vehicles HGVs) on the South Dublin County Road Network, welcomes the commitment to introduce a new weight restriction on the Adamstown/Newcastle Road at certain times on Mondays through Fridays, requests the Manager to provided a schedule for the implementation of the restriction, and to indicate the details of the section of the road to which the restriction will apply."

REPORT:

12.5 tonne restriction have been installed. Time plates will be installed and will be effective at school times (Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 09:30 and 13:00 to 16:00) between Tandy's lane and the N4. We have sought approval from The Garda Authorities and await approval which is imminent.
