MOTION: Councillor C. King

"That this Committee calls on the Manager to specify the number of 'man hours' expended removing bonfire related material over the Halloween period, stating the tonnage removed and comparing this to the previous two years as a means of rating efficiencies".

REPORT:

The clean up operation following the Halloween period is now substantially complete. A table setting out the man hours expended on this operation together with the approx. tonnages removed from Parks and open space areas in the Tallaght area for 2011 to 2013 is set out below;

As set out in previous reports on the matter the increase man hours for this year is due in part to the limited availability of machinery and loading equipment which has affected the overall efficiency of the operation.
