QUESTION: Councillor W. Lavelle

"To ask the Manager to confirm that the Clonburris LAP will not be extended beyond its current expiration date; and to further outline details on any proposals to draft a new LAP during 2014?"

REPLY:

It is not intended to extend the Clonburris LAP 2008 beyond the current six year statutory timescale.  Planning permission exists for 833 dwellings and a post primary school on part of the LAP lands and these permissions will remain valid beyond the six year period of the Plan.  There are no further details in relation to a revised LAP during 2014 at present.  A review process may commence in 2014, but it will be necessary to conclude the current Adamstown amendment process and commence the County Development Plan review also in 2014.
