FILLING OF SECTORAL VACANCIES ON VARIOUS SPC's

a)  Filling Of Sectoral Vacancy On Arts, Culture, Gaeilge, Libraries & Education SPC  (Mr. R. Leydon)

REPLY:

The following report was presented to the Members at the Organisation, Procedure and Finance Committee Meeting held on 21st November 2013:

'A vacancy exists on the Arts, Culture, Gaeilge, Education & Libraries Strategic Policy Committee following Ms Dympna Quinn's resignation from this committee.  South Dublin Community Forum has nominated Mr. Ronan Leydon to replace Ms Quinn, and it is now before the members to recommend approval to the nomination of Mr. Leydon to the Arts, Culture, Gaeilge, Education & Libraries SPC.'

It was proposed by Councillor D. Looney, seconded by Councillor M. Duff and RESOLVED:

'That Mr. Ronan Leydon be nominated to fill the vacancy on the Arts, Culture, Gaeilge, Libraries & Education Strategic Policy Committee arising from the resignation of Ms D. Quinn from the SPC.'    End of Report to OPF.

This matter is now before the Council for approval.
