COMHAIRLE CONTAE ÁTHA CLIATH THEAS
SOUTH DUBLIN COUNTY COUNCIL
MEETING OF LUCAN AREA COMMITTEE
Tuesday, November 26, 2013
MOTION NO. 14
MOTION: Councillor W. Lavelle
"That this Area Committee requests the Manager to provide a detailed update on issues relating to the removal of the grassed area at the entrance to Ballydowd Grove; and further requests the Manager to examine the need for other measures to improve and control parking outside the commercial units at Lucan Road next to this entrance."
REPORT:
The Roads Maintenance Section have issued a letter requesting that the grassed area be reinstated to its original condition. A solicitors letter has since been received in reply which raises a number of legal issues that have to be examined. Following a meeting with the Law Department a file containing a copy of all the correspondence and other documentation has been sent to them for their opinion and on receipt of this we will proceed further.
Parking in this area is being examined by the Traffic Section in the context of a review of the bus lane on the Old Lucan Road as it approaches the Woodies junction.
