MOTION: Councillor T. Delaney

That this Committee requests that more litter bins are installed in the Main St/Monastery Road area which has a very high concentration of take away outlets

REPORT:

There are over 20 bins in Clondalkin Village.  8 of these are located between the library on Monastery Road and Main Street.  The location of bins to date have been positioned to ensure that they are easily accessible, close to litter generators while at the same time not causing an obstruction to pedestrians or motorists.  The installation of additional bins is currently being considered in the context of existing facilities and resources.  A report on the matter will be forwarded to the members when completed.
