MOTION NO.7

MOTION: Councillor M. Duff

That this Committee calls on the Manager to carry out immediate and urgent remedial works to the ground at the end of the footpath, which runs from opposite 30 St Aongus Crescent to the opening of the laneway at Castletymon Shopping Centre, to eliminate pooling of rainwater and to also eliminate seepage from loose soil from the "desire line" on the green space.

REPORT:

This area and the adjoining open space requires to be substantially remodelled to remove the existing identified problems:

·        Water ponding on the path to the rear of Tymon North Library

·        Lack of a proper connecting path across the open space

·        Reinstatement of the open space

The Council is endeavouring to secure funds to undertake this work as soon as possible.
