MOTION: Councillor E. Tuffy

"That this Committee notes from a Reply to Question (No.2) to the Manager at the November Council meeting that the Review of the Council's Playground Programme is expected to be published in the coming weeks and provision for Playground works will be included in the 3 Year Capital Programme, requests the Manager to have regard to the needs of families with young children in the Lucan EA, particularly those living in the Ballyowen area, Lucan and Palmerston, and that this Committee favours the provision of small playgrounds in the Lucan EA rather than Regional Playgrounds during the next 2 to 3 years."

REPORT:

The Council is currently reviewing the policy in relation to the provision of playgrounds throughout the county and the Elected Members will be updated on the outcome shortly. This review will take into consideration the views expressed by the Elected Members.
