MEETING OF CLONDALKIN AREA COMMITTEE

Wednesday, November 20, 2013

MOTION NO. 13

MOTION: Councillor E. Ó'Broin

In light of the high level of anti social behaviour and  poor state of the roads, paths and bollards at the junction of St Marks Avenue and Grove the Clondalkin Area Committee calls on the Manager to bring forward a plan to deal with the following problems:

- repair or replacement of the bollards at this junction

- repair damage to the road and path surface at both sides of the junction

The plan, which should involve consultation with those residents who live immediately at the junction, should also explore possibility of enhanced street lighting at the junction.

REPORT:

The Area Engineer will arrange for the repair or replacement of any damaged bollards at the location. The area will be considered for inclusion in the 2014 Footpath Repair programme. Any necessary repairs will be carried out to the road surface. The Public Lighting at the junction will be reviewed and necessary improvements carried out.
