That this Committee calls on the Manager to remove the weeds and wild grass growing around the lamp posts, central strips and footpaths surrounding the car park in the Castletymon Shopping Centre and to carry out an inspection of the public lighting in the same car park.

REPORT:

The Council arranged for the re-surfacing of the car park at Castletymon Shopping Centre approx. 3-4 years ago.

The weeds will be sprayed and the roads department has been requested to carry out an inspection of the public lighting in the  car park to ascertain what  maintenance works are required. On receipt of a report from the Roads Department the matter will then be considered in the context of available resources.
