QUESTION NO. 5
QUESTION: Councillor B. Bonner
To ask the Manager to outline what can be done to improve the condition of Mayfield Estate? The roads and verges are in a poor condition and badly in need of cleaning and weed clearance.
Also a perimeter fence has been broken and this is causing a lot of pedestrian through traffic and antisocial behaviour.
REPLY:
The Council owns the houses in Mayfield Estate and the land on which they are built.
The estate will be surveyed and included in the Public Realm Maintenance Schedule for future maintenance. All verges will be remediated, weeds will be cleared and the area will be cleaned. Any major remedial works required to the infrastructure/public realm will be carried out over time as far as available resources permit.
