MOTION: Councillor T. Gilligan

That the Manager disposes of the land adjacent to Palmerstown Woods (address supplied) OR cleans the area, prunes trees / plants etc in the interest of health and safety

REPORT:

The Council approved the disposal of the freehold title in the plot of land adjacent to Palmerstown Woods, Clondalkin to the adjoining house owner at its meeting held on 10th July 2006, Minute No.C/0437/06 refers. Some correspondence was subsequently exchanged between the Law Department and applicant's Solicitor but the matter was never finalised. We are awaiting clarification from the Solicitors as to whether the matter is now considered to be closed.

If the current house owner wishes to apply to acquire the plot , the Council will arrange to have terms updated. In the event that the house owner does not wish to proceed with the purchase of the plot, the matter will be referred to the Public Realm Section for attention.
