Cathaoirleach's Business

"That the Manager give a report on what contact have been made with the different receivers regarding the taking in charge of the small wooded area between Stocking Well and Woodstown estate.  I had requested previously that a forest footpath be installed to run from Stocking Well to the playing fields at Knocklyon Park."

REPORT:

A meeting was held with a representative of the Receiver for a section of the overall development at Stocking Well.  The Receiver wishes to develop a section of the overall parkland area adjacent to the development that it has responsibility for.  It is unlikely that this proposal will facilitate the requested access to the parkland at Knocklyon Park.  However, the Council is awaiting proposals arising from the discussion and an update will be presented to the next Rathfarnham Area Committee meeting.
