Noise from Tesco at Rathfarnham Shopping Centre.
'Following the last area committee meeting the Principal Environmental Health Officer reports that Tesco held an onsite meeting with the complainant two weeks ago, following his return from holidays. The Rathfarnham Tesco Store Manager, a representative from Tesco Head Office and the Tesco Community Liaison Manager also attended this meeting.
The original complaint referred to food deliveries taking place between 2.00 am and 4.00 am. Following discussions between Environmental Health and Tesco, all deliveries have been rescheduled back to 5.00 am. We also requested that all Tesco staff involved in early morning deliveries be re – appraised of their responsibilities to carry out their duties in a quiet and quick manner and that they ensure that they strictly adhere to 05.00am delivery times.
A further meeting is scheduled with the complainant for Friday, 4th October to review these latest work practice changes and a further verbal update can be given to the meeting. The Environmental Health Department is still awaiting completion of their noise log sheets back from the complainant giving specific dates and times'.
