QUESTION NO. 5

QUESTION: Councillor E. Coburn

"To ask the Manager to review the pedestrian crossing options between Woodfield and Scholarstown Park as the current pedestrian only exit from Woodfield is not aligned with the current pedestrian crossing lights?"

REPLY:

The purpose of the opening is to provide pedestrian access to Woodfield and to allow pedestrians from Woodfield to access the bus stops or indeed any other of the local desinations. Crossing facilities are provided to the west at the Pelican Crossing and to the east at the pedestrian refuge at the roundabout. The existing arrangements are considered adequate.
