Traveller Accommodation Programme 2014-2018 Update
REPLY:
The Council confirmed by way of advertisement in the national press and by correspondence sent to stakeholders, notice of its intention to publish a draft Traveller Accommodation Programme for 2014 – 2018. Following consultation with members of the Local Traveller Accommodation Consultative Committee, it was agreed to extend the period in which submissions could be made prior to the publication of the draft programme to Friday 20th September 2013.
The proposed timeline for the adoption of the Traveller Accommodation Programme 2014 – 2018 is as follows

| 8th August 2013 | Notice in intention to prepare a new draft Traveller Accommodation Programme for 2014 – 2018 printed in national press. Designated stakeholders also directly notified. |
| 20th September 2013 | Closing date for submissions prior to publication of draft programme |
| 2nd October 2013 | Publication of draft programme and commencement of 2 month public consultation period |
| November 2013 (date to be confirmed) | Consultation Meeting with Local Traveller Accommodation Consultative Committee |
| November 2013 (date to be confirmed) | Presentation of draft programme to Housing and Social Development SPC |
| 2nd December 2013 | Closing date for submissions/public consultation |
| 9th December 2013 | Presentation of draft programme and Managers report on submissions to Council meeting for adoption. |
