MOTION NO. 3

MOTION: Councillor J. Hannon

That urgent action be taken to make safe and secure the semi-derelict former Cleanbuild site at Bohernabreena Road, having regard to the presence of asbestos in the roof, and the ongoing serious anti-social activity on site.

REPORT:

The Council's Architectural Services Department  has reported following on recent inspection that the Cleanbuild site at Bohernabreena Road continues to deteriorate.

The owners of the site, Ronan Bros. have gone into Liquidation.  It is proposed to issue a Notice under the Sanitary Services Act l964,  on the Liquidator and Solicitors acting on behalf of the Liquidators of this site.  requesting that the site be secured.   Following service of that Notice, a follow up report will be submitted to this Committee.
